| Hey guys! I wanted to let you
all know that I have been working hard on creating a 5 song EP
with all new songs, some of which won’t even be on my upcoming
solo album and I’m happy to announce that it’s finished! I will
be selling the EP at all the upcoming shows starting next week
AND for the time being until I get my new website up and
running, you can buy it at www.alexmaxband.com! This is your first chance in almost 4 years to get your hands on ALL NEW MUSIC! And now that I’m free there will be so much more to come! More music, videos, even a full live concert and crazy tour footage DVD later in the year, and of course the full album which I’m trying my best to have ready before the end of the year. I will be bringing plenty of these EP’s with me for the Brazil tour in June so all of you down there can get your copy then if you’d like. And just to let you Brazilian fans know, to help promote the tour down there I am releasing a single to radio in Brazil called “Only One” that can be only purchased on my new EP. On another note, I have to give you all an update regarding my music in the CBS TV show “Moonlight” that airs this coming Friday. In an unfortunately common major label blunder, Interscope refused releasing the rights of my songs to the TV show. I tried my hardest to remedy the situation, but because I am not fully out of my deal yet, my hands are tied and the label made their decision. Obviously I am very upset and frustrated about this, as is the TV show, which had to rush and replace all my music in the episode (the edit I saw was looking great too)….but I guess it’s a perfect example of yet another reason why having my own label is the way to go. But for all you US fans, please do tune in to the show and check it out, there is a strong possibility that they will use my music in future episodes. | Hello everyone! I know you're
all antsy to hear some good news and I finally have some to tell
you! I've been working on leaving my label for a while now, and moving to somewhere else to put this record out finally and give it the push it deserves…and I'm happy to announce that I will be putting the record out ON MY OWN! With help from good friends in the business and an amazing team, I'm putting together my own Label. This gives me the freedom to make my own decisions, to invest in myself, and to do what I want, when I want. This is the way to go these days in the music business and I am sooooooo lucky to be able to do it. There are no firm details as to when exactly the record will be released, but I am doing everything in my power to make the process as speedy as possible. I will let you all know of course as soon as I find out more. Now on to even better news…I am in the process of booking sporadic shows all over the US starting in April. Most of them will be college dates and private gigs at first, but there are also talks of a tour this summer with a bigger name act and a possible headlining tour later in the year. Also, we are now booking a 3-week Brazilian tour to start the end of this June that will possibly spill over to other countries in South America. As soon as dates have been set I will let all you fans down there know. I'm so excited! I am sooooo looking forward to getting back out on the road, playing Calling favorites and lots of great new songs as well. I have an awesome new band and we're currently rehearsing to get ready to play for you all. And NOW I will be able to offer you some of my new material at the shows before I even release it worldwide on own my private label! Lastly, I wanted to tell you to keep your eyes out for a TV show called "Moonlight" on CBS airing April 24th featuring a couple of new songs from my upcoming record. And I will be making an appearance on one or two of the episodes of the new Real World Hollywood season which starts airing April 16th and April 17th on MTV. Check it out! Il n'y a pas plus de détails sur l'entreprise ni du moment où l'album va sortir exactement, mais je fais tout ce qui est en mon pouvoir pour faire que le processus soit aussi rapide que possible. Je vous le dirais bien sur dès que j'en sais plus. Maintenant pour d'encore meilleures nouvelles... Je suis en train de préparer de sporadiques concerts partout aux USA à partir d'avril. La plupart seront des dates d'universités et des concerts privées au début, mais il y a aussi des discussions à propos d'une tournée cet été avec un plus grande participation et une possible tournée en tête d'affiche plus tard dans l'année. Aussi, nous préparons une tournée brésilienne de trois semaines qui commence fin juin et qui s'étendra peut être aux autres pays d'Amérique du sud. Dès que des dates sont fixées je vous les ferais savoir à vous les fans. Je suis si excité! Je suis siiii impatient de retourner sur la route, jouer les chansons préférés de The Calling et beaucoup d'autres super nouvelles chansons aussi. J'ai un super nouveau groupe et nous sommes actuellement en train de nous préparer pour être prêt à jouer pour vous tous. Et MAINTENANT je pourrais vous offrir une partie de mes nouvelles chansons aux concerts avant que je ne l'ai même sorti dans le monde sous mon label privé! Pour finir, je voulais vous dire de garder un oeil sur une émission de télé appelée "Moonlight" sur CBS qui est diffusée le 24 avril où apparaissent quelques nouvelles chansons de mon album à venir. | " Happy Holidays!!!! It’s almost 2008, finally time to release my record! The anticipation is killing me, it’s almost been 3 years now and I’m beyond ready to get back out on the road and see you all. I still don’t know exactly when my record will be coming out next year, but as soon as I find out I will of course let you all know. As usual, for the Holidays, I have given you all a new song (download it here on amb.com now if you haven't already!). I’ve probably written and demoed over 100 songs in the last 3 years for this album and clearly not all of them have made the cut to actually being recorded for the album. Some were great, some not as good, but I thought this one that Arms and I wrote and demoed out was a bit different and cool and perfect as a gift. I hope you like it:) I’ve also posted a little video for you all with a personal Holiday message from me. | Due to the current state of the music business and how
tough it is out there, the powers that be have decided it's
best to release my album worldwide during the first quarter
of next year. With a little more time, this record can be
properly set up with all the money and push possible, not to
mention completely perfecting the songs and recordings on
the record and maybe even adding some more great ones. You
guys are the most important to me and I am going to do
everything in my power to continue to keep you in the loop
and also give you new music until my record comes out (I'll
sneak some stuff for you!). For those of you in the US, I am
going to be playing two shows as of now for Donate Life: My
concert, 'Alex Band's Donate Life Rocks', here in Los
Angeles at the Hard Rock Universal on October 26th featuring
many other great artists and Halloween fun. And another show
for Donate Life, November 10th in Richmond, Virginia at
Toad's Place. Tickets will be available for both shows soon,
so I hope to see some of you there. Also, 'The Final
Season', the movie I wrote the main song for called 'I'm
Coming Home' will be coming out in October in theaters
across the US and the song will be available for purchase
online. I'll also be doing TV and press to coincide with the
movie release. There are lots of other really exciting
things in the works and I'm going to of course keep you all
updated. I do believe things happen for a reason, and I
think this new plan is for the best. I dream about the day
when I will be touring the world and playing these new songs

| Hey everyone! The record is almost done being mixed now! Only five more songs
to go! I still don’t have a release date yet, but I’m hoping to know more in the
next month as my finished record begins to circulate around my record label. I
wanted to let you all know about something else exciting as well. I am currently
in NY doing press and performances for an upcoming movie called "The Final
Season". They are premiering the movie at the Tribeca film festival here on
Saturday.
It’s a really great movie and a superb writer named Mitch Allen and I wrote the end credit song. I don’t know when the movie will be released, but I’ve heard end of summer. The song should be available on iTunes when my record is released later this year. More news to come! All the love… |

| Hey everyone! I wanted to give you all an update, as my
timeline has unfortunately changed a bit. Just this last week, I did the final
live string sessions for the record, it was by far the most magical moment yet.
Check it out in the 15th in-studio video! I will be doing some final tweaking
this coming week on the album, and then we will be mixing everything in a couple
weeks, which will take some time as well. I don't know how much you all know
about the current state of the music business, but it is very, very bleak. Major
labels are dropping like flies, record stores are closing left and right, and
bands…talented bands, are getting let go on a daily basis. It's a sad thing to
be a part of this and watch it over the last bunch of years. Needless to say,
this does affect me. Every step I take to push my record to come out sooner, I
have to take another step back, due to other circumstance that I have no control
over. Now, with all that said, I want you all to know that my record will come
out this year, it will be better than you can imagine, and my label is very much
behind it. All this extra time has done nothing but let me write more incredible
songs and make this record sound even better…so there is a positive! But
obviously, just like all of you, I am wanting to be out there touring and
sharing this album with the world. It's getting very close, but it won't be this
month like I was told. Instead of specifying an actual week or month, I am just
going to tell you guys once I know the actual date, when it is set in stone. I
am still as excited as I've been, if not more, and I will continue to update you
all on the rest of the process. All the love!!! P.S. | Happy Holidays Everyone!!! Wow, it's almost 2007! I never thought the day would come! Next year is going to be amazing! My record is finally going to come out and I get to tour the world again and see you all! There's still much work to be done on the record…next month I will be finishing up the two songs I'm currently working on with Matt Serletic, doing all the live strings for the 6 songs I recorded with Tal, recording 3 other songs with two new producers, finishing producing the song Arms and I wrote, and finally mixing everything with an amazing mixer named Jack Joseph Puig! And then of course it will be time to get a kick ass band together and get ready for the fun stuff! The first single is still due out March and the record will be released worldwide sometime around June. As always, I wanted to leave you all a special Holiday treat, so Debbie has been kind enough to put it up on her site for download: www.alexmaxband.com. It's one of my favorite songs that I wrote and produced out myself earlier this year here at my house. Unfortunately it's one of many songs that didn't make it on this record, so I thought I should share with all of you! Also, the last in-studio video of the year will be put up this Friday and it's going to be a good one. I'm off to Florida for the Holidays and will be returning at the beginning of the year to get back to work! | HELLOOOOOO! I wanted to check in and wish all you American fans a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm currently taking a week off and vacationing in Florida for Thanksgiving. But I will be back in the studio starting next week....Which means more in-studio videos very soon! I spent the last two weeks writing some great new songs. I don't know which ones will end up on the record though...I've already got so many crazy tracks! The schedule for the album and single release are still right on target. The ffirst single is scheduled for end of first quarter next year release, with the album coming out end of second quarter. And to answer all you international fans' questions, the album will of course be released worldwide! Although I will be spending ample time here in the States to promote the first single, I am so looking forward to traveling abroad again and coming to see you all...It's been toooooo long! Anyway, have a great Thanksgiving and I'll catch you all next week. All the love... |

| Hey guys! Go check out my new website layout at www.alexband.net! We finally just finished it and it looks awesome! The only thing that isn't working yet is the Forum, which will be up soon. I'm here in the studio now of course, but I wanted to let you all know that I will be taking a two week hiatus from recording to try and write a couple more songs for the record. Although I've already written like 40 to choose from, I just want to make sure I've completely exhausted my brain...this record has to be perfect! I owe it to you guys! So don't get mad if I slack on the in-studio videos for a little bit...they will definitely be back cause I've got a whole lot of recording to do before the year is over. | Hey everyone! The band and I have been having the time of our lives out there on
the road, and it's all thanks to you! Each show has been a rush and I can't even
tell you how good it feels to be back doing what I love. There are so many
things in the works right now that are really exciting for the near future and
many, many tours for us being planned all around the globe. As life always
somehow manages to do... in the midst of all that is great right now comes some
bad. Due to an illness in my family, and the small amount of precious down time
I have, I am forced to move our upcoming month of American touring in August to
another time not yet determined. It was an extremely hard decision for me, but
family and love comes first in my life and I have to be there for this moment.
I'm aware that some of you have already made plans and bought plane tickets and
purchased concert tickets too, and I am extremely sorry. I promise I will make
it up to you all and we will be rebooking an even bigger and better American
tour soon. We'll be getting you all a revised touring schedule for the upcoming
months which will be now starting in Canada (finally!), and will include a Japan
tour, a Brazil tour, another big tour through Europe, and of course American
headlining shows and American radio show dates as well. You all have been so
good to us throughout the past 3 years and with every new day that passes, I
always remind myself of how lucky I am to have such great fans. Again, I am so
sorry and I will make it up to each and every one of you! The band and I are
looking forward to getting back out there and seeing you all soon! All the
